In October, Memphis, Texas-based Bank19 announced the appointment of Ernesto J. Salazar as Amarillo market president as the bank seeks to expand its presence and strengthen its relationships across the Texas Panhandle. He brings more than 35 years of banking experience serving business owners, commercial clients, professionals and individuals.
Salazar will lead Bank19’s Amarillo market strategy, with responsibility for business development, commercial banking relationships, community engagement and the continued growth of the bank. He will spearhead Bank19’s efforts to introduce its new brand in Amarillo, following the institution’s name change from First Bank and Trust of Memphis earlier this year.
Salazar is a member of Will Rogers Range Riders, Texas Panhandle Builders Association, Texas Bankers Association, Texas Cattle Feeders Association, Amarillo Association of Realtors and the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce.
Established in 1898 as The First National Bank of Memphis, the institution changed its name to First Bank and Trust of Memphis in 1985. Today, Bank19 operates branches in Memphis and Amarillo, Texas, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
