In August, Laredo-based IBC Bank announced the promotion of two longtime employees to market president positions in Laredo and San Antonio.
Nativido “Nati” Lozano has been promoted to market president of IBC Bank–Laredo. Prior to his promotion, Lozano, who has more than 25 years of banking experience, oversaw the commercial lending division for the Laredo market.
Lozano began his career with IBC Bank in 1995 as a commercial credit analyst after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a BBA degree in accounting. He also graduated from the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in 2003. Lozano developed unique expertise in the Mexican market through extensive travel to many of the country’s most important cities. As a result, he established a strong network of relationships within the transportation, manufacturing and real estate sectors.
Lozano has served on numerous committees of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, including as chairman of the board. He was also a board member of the National Bankers Association, Logistics and Manufacturing Association, Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos and Laredo Development Foundation, for which he served as president of the board. Lozano currently serves on the board of directors of the Laredo Motor Carriers Association. Beyond banking and community leadership, Lozano is an avid golfer and serves as the coordinator of the popular Laredo Country Club Laredo Open Golf Tournament.
Bernardo de la Garza has been promoted to president of IBC Bank–San Antonio. He began his career with IBC Bank 14 years ago as a credit analyst and loan processor in the San Antonio credit department. Prior to his promotion, he served as executive vice president, overseeing the San Antonio lending department, managing commercial lending operations and holding company investments.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, de la Garza is actively involved in numerous civic and community organizations. He serves as chair of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio and is a member of the boards of directors of Christus Children’s Foundation and the Asociación de Empresarios Mexicanos San Antonio chapter.
