On May 21, Albany-based Clear Fork Bank announced the appointment of James Arnold as the bank’s next president and chief executive officer. Tim Cooper will continue serving in a leadership role supporting the transition. Under Cooper’s leadership, Clear Fork Bank experienced historic growth, surpassing $1 billion in assets while expanding its presence and impact in Texas.
Arnold brings more than 22 years of banking and executive leadership experience to the role. He previously served as president and CEO of First Bank & Trust in Lubbock, where he helped lead significant growth and team development initiatives. He has also held executive leadership positions at American Bank of Commerce and Lubbock National Bank.
Arnold earned his BBA degree from the University of Texas–Austin and a master’s degree from Texas Tech University. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University. Arnold has held numerous civic and leadership positions, including service with educational, healthcare and municipal organizations. He previously served as a trustee and board president for the Lubbock Independent School District and has been actively involved in economic development and community leadership efforts throughout West Texas.
“Clear Fork Bank is built on strong relationships, sound leadership and a deep commitment to the communities we serve,” Cooper, who also serves as chairman of the board, says. “It has been a privilege to lead this exceptional organization, and I am excited about the future under James Arnold’s leadership.”
Established in 1883, Clear Fork Bank operates eight banking offices in West Texas, primarily along the Interstate 20 corridor.
