Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 31–September 6, 2025

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, has applied to acquire American Bank NA, based in Corpus Christi.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an applications by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish the following branches: 135 N.E. Loop 564 in Mineola and 1192 W. Dallas, Ste. A, in Conroe.

The OCC reports that Lone Star National Bank, based in Pharr, has applied to establish a branch at 918 W. Harrison Rd. in Harlingen.

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Bastrop, based in Bastrop, has applied to establish a branch at 101-102 Cougar Lane in Lott.

The OCC reports that Zions Bancorporation NA, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has applied to relocate a branch from 3400 Ave. H in Rosenberg to 25670 Southwest Fwy. in Rosenberg.

The TDB reports that Texas Traditions Bank, based in Katy, has established a branch at 455 E. Medical Center Blvd., Ste. 175, in Webster.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by The First State Bank, based in Louise, to establish a branch at 803 N. Ave. E in Shiner.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Security State Bank, based in Pearsall, to establish a branch at 233 19th St. in Hondo.
