Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

May 4–10, 2025

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Rio Bank, based in McAllen, has applied to acquire Lone Star Capital Bank NA, based in San Antonio.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Cendera Bank NA, based in Bells, has applied to convert from a national association to a Texas state-chartered bank under the name Cendera Bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, to establish a branch at 1134 S. FM 741 in Forney.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at E. Eagle Spirit Dr. and Main St. (Mineola Hwy. 69) in Lindale.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by TexasBank, based in Brownwood, to establish a branch at 1415 S. FM 51 in Decatur.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First Community Bank, based in Corpus Christi, to establish a branch at 6302 W. Broadway St., Ste. 100, in Pearland.

The TDB reports that Spur Security Bank, based in Spur, has applied to establish a branch at 5617 114th St. in Lubbock.
