Falk and Aguirre Reappointed to Leadership Roles on Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Board

Thomas FalkThe Federal Reserve Board of Governors has re-appointed Thomas J. Falk of Dallas as chair and Claudia Aguirre of Houston as deputy chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas board of directors for 2023.

Falk joined the Dallas Fed board in 2019 and was appointed chair in 2022. He is the retired chairman and CEO of the Irving-based Kimberly-Clark Corp. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin and an MS degree in management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Falk serves on the board of Lockheed Martin, the chancellor’s advisory board at the University of Wisconsin and as a national governor of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Claudia AguirreAguirre joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas board in 2019 and was appointed deputy chair in 2022. She is president and CEO of BakerRipley, a community-development nonprofit organization with 67 locations across the Houston region. She has served 30 years in the government, education and non-profit sectors, directing large-scale, community-engagement initiatives. Aguirre is known for her expertise in child development, community engagement and immigration policy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in education. She also holds an education executive certification from Harvard University.

Each Federal Reserve Bank has a nine-member board of directors. Three members represent commercial banks, three represent the public and three are appointed by the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
