Independent Financial Expands Austin Lending Team to Meet Growing Demand

August 11, 2022

McKinney-based Independent Financial is expanding its Austin market lending team at both its downtown and West Lake Hills locations to help meet growing demand. Scott Daniels has been promoted to senior vice president and will assist commercial loan customers, evaluate real estate and service credit loans. Rick Lindley also represents Independent Financial and both Laurie Logue and Emily Sanchez were recently added to the Austin lending team.

Daniels, now senior vice president, served as vice president in commercial banking at Independent Financial for the past six years. He is responsible for developing new business, servicing commercial loan portfolios and real estate/credit loans in the market. He is an Austin resident and a graduate of Texas Tech University.

Logue joins the team as relationship manager/senior vice president, originating and managing loan portfolios for commercial developers and investor customers. She is a 30-year banking veteran of Austin and a graduate of the University of Texas–Austin.

Lindley joined Independent Financial in August 2021 at the West Lake branch as relationship manager/senior vice president in commercial lending. He is also a veteran banker with more than 20 years of experience. Lindley is a resident of Westlake and graduate of the University of Texas–Austin.

Sanchez recently joined the team as relationship manager/senior vice president at the downtown Austin location. She has more than 15 years of commercial and residential banking experience. Sanchez is a resident of Georgetown and graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.

“Austin is one of the fastest growing markets in the country and Independent Financial is adding experienced bankers who know the market and will help develop new banking partnerships and deepen relationships with current customers,” says Ben Richards, market president. “Austin is seeing many new companies locate to this vibrant area with a growing economy and Independent Financial believes these hirings will enhance our lending capabilities.”

Established in 1988, Independent Financial operates in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, Central Texas and Greater Houston regions in Texas, as well as the Colorado Front Range region with more than 90 locations.
