Amarillo-based FirstBank Southwest recently announced the start of construction for its new bank at 300 W. Kingsmill in Pampa. The 8,000-square-feet facility will include a full-service bank, six drive-through lanes, a 24-hour drive-up ATM and night-deposit drop. The bank plans to open in the spring of 2022. This April, FirstBank Southwest is temporarily relocating its drive-through, 24-hour drive-up ATM and night-deposit drop across the street from the current building. FirstBank Southwest is a part of Pampa’s historic downtown, located by the Gray County Courthouse and the City of Pampa offices.
“The City of Pampa is fortunate to have a strong, stable bank in our downtown area,” says Brad Pingel, Pampa mayor. “To see new construction going on always sparks excitement. I feel this should help to reassure our community of how committed FirstBank Southwest is to the citizens of Pampa.”
“The City of Pampa is excited about FirstBank Southwest’s plans to build a new state-of-the-art banking facility at their downtown Pampa location,” says Shane Stokes, Pampa city manager. “FirstBank Southwest’s longtime commitment to investing in Pampa’s downtown lines up with our goal of downtown revitalization and ensures that relationship will continue long into the future.”
“Our bank’s roots run deep—not only in the Panhandle, but in downtown Pampa,” says Kim Hill, branch market president. “There are many great things happening downtown and we are excited to be playing a big role in the revitalization.”
Established in 1907, FirstBank Southwest has nine banking center locations in Amarillo, Booker, Hereford, Pampa and Perryton.
