Primary job purpose: This position is responsible for performing an independent monitoring and assessment of operation functions and compliance with banking laws and regulations. Bachelor’s degree or college-level classes in accounting, finance or related field are preferred. Work experience should include at least three years in accounting and a minimum of five years in banking. This person must understand key audit issues and work with bank managers and the risk control committee in evaluating and strengthening their procedures and controls.
