Pine Bluff-based Simmons Bank has named Itzel Meador Small Business Association (SBA) regional manager of sales and business development across the bank’s eight-state footprint. Her responsibilities include SBA loan production, as well as oversight of the bank’s SBA lending processes and customer experience. Meador brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role, previously serving as vice president in the commercial lending group at Regions Bank. Prior to that, she served as senior vice president at Arkansas Capital Corp., a nonprofit company that specializes in SBA lending.
A graduate of the University of Texas–Dallas, Meador is a member of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the Small Business Technology Development Center and treasurer of the Children’s Protection Center. She also serves on the loan committee for Rural Missouri Inc., a certified development company that processes SBA 504 loans.
Meador was named the SBA Financial Advocate of the Year by the SBA in 2006 and is a two-time recipient of the Regions Chairman’s Club Award. Simmons Bank operates in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
