Oklahoma: First National Bank & Trust Co. of Broken Arrow Promotes Steeley and Smith

The First National Bank & Trust Co. of Broken Arrow has announced two promotions within its management.

Derek Steeley, currently the bank’s senior vice president, is now also the bank’s senior lending officer. He is a 29-year veteran of the banking industry. Before joining First National Bank of Broken Arrow in 2012, he served as senior vice president and chief lending officer of Exchange Bank in Skiatook, senior vice president of Legacy Bank in Weatherford and assistant vice president of First National Bank in Burleson, Texas. Steeley holds a BBA degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Jessica Smith, currently a commercial lending officer, has been promoted to assistant vice president. She joined the bank in 2016 while completing her second business degree in accounting. Smith holds a degree from Oklahoma State University and is an honors graduate of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Commercial Lending School.

Only four chairmen have headed the First National Bank & Trust Co. since it opened in 1902. The bank operates three locations in Broken Arrow, employs 51 people and is the oldest family-owned bank originated in Tulsa County.
