Texas: Kirkpatrick, First Texas Bancorp President and CEO, Set to Retire After 42 Years of Service

John A. Kirkpatrick, president and CEO of Georgetown-based First Texas Bancorp Inc., is retiring at the end of the year after 42 years of service. Kirkpatrick began his career with First Texas Bancorp, under the leadership of Grogan Lord, while attending Southwestern University in Georgetown.

As reported in Bankers Digest last May, Barry J. Haag has been named the new president and CEO of First Texas Bancorp. His tenure will begin in January. Haag has been with First Texas Bank Georgetown for the past 24 years, serving for the past 16 years as president and CEO.

First Texas Bancorp Inc. is the holding company for First Texas Bank Georgetown, First Texas Bank Killeen, First Texas Bank Lampasas and First Texas Data Inc., as well as numerous branches located in Central Texas.
