IBAT’s Colorado Winter Summit for Community Bankers Mixes Hot Topics with Fun in the Snow

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas’ Winter Summit XIX combines a winter getaway to Colorado with a unique opportunity to learn from, and interact with, senior regulators, banking attorneys and other community bankers. The 2019 event is set for January 14–16 at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon, Colorado.

The summit will include a panel discussion, “What’s New with the Regulators,” featuring Charles Cooper, commissioner of the Texas Department of Banking; Kristie Elmquist, regional director at the FDIC (remote participation); Kent Stone, associate deputy comptroller for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency; and Robert Triplett, senior vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas

Another session, “Dialogue with the Banking Lawyers,” will provide an opportunity to learn from Rick Brophy, a partner at Beard Kultgen Brophy Bostwick & Dickson PLLC; Sandy Brown, a partner at Alston & Bird LLP; and Chet Fenimore, a partner at Fenimore, Kay, Harrison & Ford LLP.

In addition, Chris Wilson, senior vice president at The Baker Group, will address “Market Conditions: The Impact on Your Bank and Guidance for 2019.”

The schedule allows plenty of time to take advantage of all that Beaver Creek Mountain offers, including convenient access to skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, shopping, ice skating, fly fishing, food and wine tours, and more.
