Commercial National Bank Names Mobley CEO; Sanderson and Maroon Also Promoted

Texarkana-based Commercial National Bank recently announced several executive promotions.

Philip K. Mobley has been named chief executive officer and chairman of the board. A third-generation owner of Commercial National Bank, he earned a degree in business from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in finance from Tulane University. Prior to being named CEO, Mobley was senior vice president at the bank. Before starting his banking career, he was a special project coordinator with the Arkansas secretary of state and a consultant for the Bank Advisory Group.

Robert M. Sanderson has been named the bank’s new president and chief lending officer. He has 32 years of experience in banking, 23 of those years at Commercial National Bank. Prior to his recent promotion, Sanderson was executive vice president. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Hendrix College.

Sandra Maroon has been named executive vice president. She has been with Commercial National Bank for 20 years, previously working as vice president and controller. Maroon earned a bachelor of arts in accounting, with a minor in business, from Quachita
University.

Commercial National Bank was founded in 1964 by George W. Peck, Philip Mobley’s grandfather. Philip’s mother, Julia Peck Mobley, the bank’s CEO and board chair for the past 30 years, has taken senior chair status as of April.
