Baton Rouge-based Investar Bank recently announced the promotion of Matthew “Matt” Marcantel to Evangeline market president and senior vice president. For the past seven years, he has served as the branch manager of Investar’s Pine Prairie location. Marcantel will oversee the commercial relationship managers in Evangeline Parish while managing a lending portfolio and developing new relationships. He will also oversee the mortgage and retail teams in Evangeline.
Marcantel has more than 30 years of experience in banking. “It is always exciting and rewarding to promote great talent from within our organization,” says Robert Lott, Investar Bank’s Acadiana market president and senior vice president. “Matt is a talented and committed team member and I am confident that he will grow business using his strong work ethic.”
An Oakdale resident, Marcantel is actively involved in the community and currently serves as the Oakdale Lions Club vice president.
