First Federal Bank of Louisiana, based in Lake Charles, recently announced two promotions and a new hire.
Samuel V. “Sam” Wilkinson, former chief risk officer and director of human resources, has been named executive vice president. He will oversee several areas of the bank as well as take on additional corporate responsibilities. Wilkinson is a graduate of McNeese State University and The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
Peter Gover, the bank’s former treasurer, has been promoted to chief financial officer and treasurer, responsible for the asset and liability management program, liquidity risk management, cash management functions and management of the bank’s investment portfolio and corporate finance management. A CPA with both public and corporate accounting experience, Gover was assistant controller from 2010 to 2015 before being promoted to controller. He is a McNeese State University graduate with a bachelor of science degree in accounting.
Julie Miller has been named vice president and marketing manager. With 27 years of banking experience, she will implement and oversee marketing strategy and promotion campaigns, in addition to building and maintaining relationships within the communities served by First Federal Bank. She is a McNeese State University graduate with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
Founded almost 70 years ago, First Federal Bank of Louisiana has 16 branches serving 10 cities in Louisiana.
